The 2025 Toyota Sienna is only offered as a hybrid, so it gets to appear multiple times on this page. The question here is, how does it stack up against conventional minivans? As expected, its fuel economy is out of this world, relatively speaking, while the sprint to 60 mph takes a respectable 7.5 seconds. There's less oomph than Sienna families will recall from previous V6-powered models, though, and the hybrid powertrain gets noisy when you open the taps. Moreover, you can't remove or stow the second-row seats, which is why the Sienna's maximum cargo capacity comes up far short by segment standards. The Odyssey doesn't get significant updates very often, which makes sense — it's such a solid vehicle that it's a perennial all-star no matter what. But there are plenty of updates for 2025, so now's a great time to take another look at Honda's venerable van. If you want the best fuel economy, though, you're looking in the wrong place. The Odyssey's V6 engine does a decent job at the pump, but multiple rivals now offer hybrid technology, and this engine can't compete with that.
