Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a Good Minivan?
"The 2025 Toyota Sienna is only offered as a hybrid, so it gets to appear multiple times on this page. The question here is, how does it stack up against conventional minivans? As expected, its fuel economy is out of this world, relatively speaking, while the sprint to 60 mph takes a respectable 7.5 seconds. There's less oomph than Sienna families will recall from previous V6-powered models, though, and the hybrid powertrain gets noisy when you open the taps. Moreover, you can't remove or stow the second-row seats, which is why the Sienna's maximum cargo capacity comes up far short by segment standards. In fact, the previous-generation Sienna had 50% more max cargo space. But it’s also notable that the Sienna can be equipped with all-wheel drive, which remains a rarity in the minivan realm — only the non-hybrid Pacifica can say the same. Another feather in the Sienna's cap is a new-for-2025 12.3-inch touchscreen that comes standard on all trims except the base LE."—Ranked #1 out of 5 Minivans
"You're looking at the most fuel-efficient minivan on the market, albeit not by a wide margin; the Carnival Hybrid is nipping at the 2025 Toyota Sienna's heels. But Toyota has pulled a neat trick here in redefining the Sienna as the efficiency specialist, leaving its hot-rod, V6-powered past behind. That V6 was one of Toyota's best engines — Lotus even borrowed a version of it for the Evora sports car — and it made the Sienna feel effortlessly quick. Nonetheless, the hybrid powertrain does have some spunk, and its mid-30s fuel economy will likely be more than enough compensation for the diminished thrust. If you don't need to maximize cargo space inside your van, the Sienna makes a strong case for itself. That’s especially true if you want all-wheel drive, which the Sienna offers and the competition doesn’t (yes, the Pacifica offers AWD, but only in non-hybrid form)."—Ranked #1 out of 3 Hybrid Minivans

1. 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid Front-Wheel Drive

The Sienna doesn't have as much max cargo capacity as most other minivans due to its lack of collapsible or removable second-row seats, but that gaudy fuel economy might ease the blow.

- Drive Type: All-wheel drive

For an extra $2k in the Sienna, you get AWD via a separate electric motor on the rear axle, and you only lose a single mpg. Strikes us as a pretty good deal.
