What's New for 2025?
The 2025 S90 drops the "Recharge" from the T8 plug-in hybrid's name, but it continues to be essentially the same car it's been since 2018, when the original short-wheelbase model (built in Sweden) was discontinued and the long-wheelbase model (built in China — yes, the 2025 S90 is still made in China) became the only option.

2025 Volvo S90 Review

Is the 2025 Volvo S90 a Good Car?
"The S90's awkwardly stretched proportions speak to its true purpose — you probably have a chauffeur if you buy this car in China, which is where it's built. Volvo sells it here, too, except we're not really into the whole chauffeur thing, so the S90 just ends up seeming needlessly long and unwieldy. Under the hood, the standard S90 B6's four-cylinder engine can't compete these days on either acceleration or fuel economy, and while the S90 T8 plug-in hybrid offers nearly 40 miles of EV range and hits 60 mph in the mid-4-second range, this remains an outdated platform that's been with us since literally 2016. Outdated is the word for the S90's smallish touchscreen, too."—Ranked #8 out of 9 Midsize Luxury Sedans
