Is the 2025 Tesla Model X a Good SUV?
"The Model X is a pioneer in this segment, having brought adult-friendly three-row seating to the EV space many years before the rest. In typical Tesla fashion, it's still the same basic vehicle it was when it debuted about a decade ago, but consistent updates have kept it feeling fresh, while its range (300-plus miles) and acceleration (sub-4-seconds to 60 mph) remain highly impressive. It's also the only SUV here with gullwing-style 'falcon wing' rear doors, for better or worse. We just wish Tesla would update the styling, as the X has looked like a rolling egg since it debuted and the competition — Rivian, Cadillac, even Kia — is only getting handsomer."—Ranked #8 out of 11 Large 3-Row Electric SUVs
"Did you know there's a two-row Model X? We remember being surprised to hear that, because the impressively adult-friendly third-row seat seems to be the whole point of the X's substantial size and carnivalesque 'falcon wing' rear doors. Anyway, the X actually starts out as a two-row SUV at the base price point, so you can have it that way if you want it. Regardless of how many seating rows it has, this Tesla continues to astonish us into its golden years with impressive-for-a-big-SUV range and impressive-period acceleration."—Ranked #5 out of 7 Premium Luxury Electric SUVs
