Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid a Good SUV?
"You get to choose between two seating rows (CX-70) and three (CX-90) if you want a midsize Mazda plug-in-hybrid SUV. We definitely prefer the CX-90 seen here, because it's basically the same vehicle and costs thousands less to start. Providing a useful 26 miles of electric range and a healthy 323 horsepower if you need it, the CX-90 gives you a lot of versatility for the money, although its third row isn't the most spacious despite the vehicle's prodigious length."—Ranked #2 out of 3 Midsize 3-Row Hybrid SUVs
"Anyone else want to come play with Mazda in this segment? No? Well, you gotta hand it to the plucky Japanese automaker for going it alone and giving PHEV shoppers two non-luxury midsize SUV options. We'd take the CX-90 ourselves, because it's essentially the same thing as the CX-70 with the added convenience of a third-row seat, and it starts about $5k lower. Why not?"—Ranked #1 out of 2 Midsize Plug-In-Hybrid SUVs
