Is the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid a Good Minivan?
"Still the only PHEV on Planet Minivan, the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid delivers a unique value proposition with its 32 miles of all-electric range. Plug in every time you get home (you don't even need a fancy charger; a regular outlet will do) and you could go weeks or even months without refueling, provided you're just puttering around town. That's the good news; the bad news is that the current Pacifica has been around for a lot of years now, whereas its rivals are considerably newer. That's an age gap you can see and feel, and don't forget that the Pacifica PHEV's starting price is way up there compared to other minivans."—Ranked #3 out of 3 Hybrid Minivans
Which 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. There's only one standalone version of the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid, and here it is, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid
- Base Price: $51,055
- EV Range: 32 mi
- MPG Combined: 30
- Drive Type: Front-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.6-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: CVT
- Horsepower: 260
- Torque: 262 lb-ft
- 0-60: 7.8 sec
- Weight: 4,521 lbs
- Length: 204.3 in
The Pacifica PHEV drops the regular version's option of all-wheel drive, and it also only seats seven passengers, so you can't get it in eight-passenger spec. Having said that, it also gives you an estimated 32 miles of all-electric driving before the gas motor kicks in — but given that it's got two electric motors in addition to the familiar 3.6-liter V6, we're surprised that the powertrain overall is less powerful than the base V6 alone. A mixed bag, then, but certainly a unique one.
