The A5 coupe is essentially a two-door version of the A4 sedan, though the coupe isn't quite as tall and utilizes a shorter wheelbase. The more powerful of the A4's two four-cylinder engines comes standard here.
The A5 Cabriolet — Audi's way of saying "convertible" — is an A5 coupe with the roof chopped off. In its place is a power-operated soft top. As with the A5 coupe, the more powerful of the A4 sedan's two four-cylinder engines comes standard here. Predictably, the Cabriolet weighs about 300 pounds more than the coupe due to structural reinforcements required by the missing roof, though its highway fuel economy estimate is oddly 1 mpg higher.
The S5 coupe is more akin to the four-cylinder A5 coupe than you might think — there are no flared fenders or other major exterior modifications here, so this is a high-performance coupe for folks who want to fly under the radar. You might feel like you're flying when you open up the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which can grab 60 mph from rest in about four and a half seconds.
The S5 Cabriolet drops the top on the S5 coupe and gains some weight in the process, but the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 will still whisk you to 60 in the mid-4-second range.
