Fundamentally unchanged, the 2025 BRZ adds a Sport mode to the manual transmission that's said to sharpen the throttle response, although it was plenty sharp already.

Is the 2025 Subaru BRZ a Good Car?
"The BRZ wears its heart on its sleeve, and we like that. Don't bother if you're looking for a quiet interior or a smooth ride — but if the raw edginess of a performance car is part of the appeal for you, keep reading. Subaru has tuned its 2.4-liter flat-four engine to deliver real thrills in this application: it's happy to rev out to redline, and its beefed-up midrange compared to the previous generation makes the BRZ feel genuinely fast when you're really on it.
