What's New for 2025?
The headline news for the 2025 Ram 1500 is the death of the V8 — long live the Hurricane turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6! Available in two states of tune, the Hurricane will typically be seen in standard-output form with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. A high-output version (540 hp, 521 lb-ft) is exclusively specified on the RHO off-roader and the Limited, Longhorn and Tungsten trifecta of luxury trims, which means you won't find a Hurricane H.O. below $70k. In other news, the exterior gets a styling refresh, while the interior boasts newly available features like a portrait-style 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display. In the bed, an onboard power inverter can produce up to two kilowatts and provides two covered outlets. Finally, a new hands-free Active Driving Assist feature provides adaptive cruise control and lane-centering on approved roadways if the driver keeps watching the road.

Is the 2025 Ram 1500 a Good Truck?
"Amid the hullabaloo about the new Hurricane turbo inline-6 replacing the Hemi V8, it's worth noting that the Hurricane's max towing and payload capacities remain broadly competitive with those of the Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3-liter V8. It's only at the top of the chain — the max towing figure for the entire lineup — that the newly V8-deprived Ram falls down. Anyway, this is still the luxury SUV of pickup trucks, thanks to its coil-spring suspension and quiet cabin. It's getting a bit stale inside, however, especially if you don't specify the new portrait-style touchscreen."—Ranked #2 out of 6 Full-Size Trucks
