1. 2025 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe (3.0T PHEV AWD)
- Base Price: $101,200
- EV Range: N/A
- MPG Combined: N/A
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 463
- Torque: 479 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.6 sec
- Weight: 5,415 lbs
- Length: 194.1 in
- Towing Capacity: 7,716 lbs
We're confused by the Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid. EPA estimates weren't available as of this writing, but all indications point to an electric range of less than 25 miles for this luxury plug-in hybrid SUV. What's the point of all that added weight and complexity if that's all you're getting on the EV front?
2. 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe (3.0T PHEV AWD)
- Base Price: $110,400
- EV Range: N/A
- MPG Combined: N/A
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 512
- Torque: 553 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.4 sec
- Weight: 5,377 lbs
- Length: 194.1 in
- Towing Capacity: 7,716 lbs
Although the Cayenne Coupe S E-Hybrid bumps up the power output a bit, its acceleration to 60 mph barely improves. Given that it shares the regular Coupe E-Hybrid's modest battery pack, we can assume that EV range, projected to be 20-25 miles for the standard model, will not improve. This all might make sense as a way to get around emissions tolls in European city centers, but it's a head-scratcher on our shores.
3. 2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe (4.0T PHEV AWD)
- Base Price: $161,500
- EV Range: N/A
- MPG Combined: N/A
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 4.0-liter V8
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 729
- Torque: 700 lb-ft
- 0-60: 3.5 sec
- Weight: 5,719 lbs
- Length: 194.1 in
- Towing Capacity: 6,614 lbs
If we had to choose a Cayenne Coupe hybrid, this one would win easily. The V8 really brings this SUV to life, and although the same is true of the V8 in the regular Cayenne S, the question was which hybrid we'd have, right? Of course, if the hybrids had 50 miles of range rather than something in the 20s, we'd be having a very different conversation.
