Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB a Good SUV?
"The EQB's underwhelming range and lackluster acceleration serve as a double whammy in today's EV marketplace. Even its maximum range figure of 251 miles is subpar, and if you get that version, you have to live with poor acceleration (0-60 in 8.5 seconds). Would you rather fix the acceleration problem? It's possible, but then you're looking at a max range of barely more than 200 miles. These just aren't competitive numbers, and it's not like Benz is selling EQBs for cheap. If there's a saving grace here, it's the EQB's optional and very reasonably priced third-row seat, which is tiny but potentially useful for families who need extra seats for small children."—Ranked #12 out of 13 Compact Luxury Electric SUVs
"As unimpressed as we are by the EQB's range, acceleration and peak charge rate, all of which bring up the rear among small electric SUVs, we'll concede that its available and reasonably priced third-row seat sets it apart. There are hardly any compact EVs with three seating rows, and while the EQB's third row is predictably cramped, it could be a panacea for parents who don't want to buy a behemoth in order to have a couple of extra seats for small children. Provided you'll be doing most of your driving around town and can charge up easily at home, a three-row EQB could actually be a nice lifestyle solution. You'd have to hate the Model Y, though, because the far pricier Benz just can't compete on the merits."—Ranked #2 out of 2 Compact Electric 3-Row SUVs
