Is the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus a Good SUV?
"A value play in the midsize segment, the made-in-China Nautilus provides generous rear legroom and an eye-popping infotainment display that spans the entire width of the dashboard. It's a nice-looking machine, too, and while acceleration is just adequate with the base turbo four-cylinder engine, the Nautilus Hybrid is significantly quicker. Given that the Hybrid is also 6 mpg better on gas and barely more expensive, it's close to a no-brainer upgrade; our only reservation is that it swaps out the base model's conventional automatic transmission for a gearless CVT. Either way, the Nautilus won't wow you with its driving dynamics, but if you're looking for comfort, efficiency and plenty of features at a nice price, there's a lot to like here."—Ranked #9 out of 11 Midsize Luxury SUVs

1. 2025 Lincoln Nautilus 2.0T AWD 8-Speed Automatic
- Base Price: $51,890
- MPG Combined: 24
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 250
- Torque: 280 lb-ft
- 0-60: 7.3 sec
- Weight: 4,349 lbs
- Length: 193.2 in
- Towing Capacity: 1,750 lbs
The base Nautilus uses the same exact engine as the Ford Escape 2.0T, yet the Lincoln carries a whopping 800 more pounds on its frame. No wonder its acceleration is lacking compared to rival luxury SUVs, not to mention that Escape, which spanks it by 1.5 seconds in the sprint to 60 mph.
2. 2025 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid (2.0T AWD CVT)
- Base Price: $53,890
- MPG Combined: 30
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: CVT
- Horsepower: 310
- Torque: N/A
- 0-60: 6.6 sec
- Weight: 4,517 lbs
- Length: 193.2 in
- Towing Capacity: 1,750 lbs
The big question with the Nautilus Hybrid is, why would anyone choose the non-hybrid Nautilus? The Hybrid powertrain costs a mere $1,500 on the options sheet, and it greatly improves fuel economy (especially in the city) while providing significantly better acceleration.
