What's New for 2025?
All 2025 Wranglers come standard with power locks and power windows, while a newly available Active Cabin Ventilation feature lets you heat up or cool down the interior remotely via mobile app. Note that the standard V6 engine is now only available with the manual transmission, so if you want the automatic in a mainstream Wrangler build, you're looking at the 2.0T four-cylinder.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a Good SUV?
"Always a force to be reckoned with among factory off-roaders, the Wrangler remains competitive in most respects, including value, as it gives you plenty of options in the $30s while the Bronco is a $40k+ truck. But the Ford ekes out a victory here thanks to superior cabin technology and available turbocharged V6 power. For ranking purposes, we're leaving aside the boss of them all, the delightfully demented Wrangler Rubicon 392 with its 6.4-liter Hemi V8, because it's a six-figure machine that's hardly ever seen in the wild. If there were a mainstream Wrangler with a more appealing engine — the new Hurricane turbocharged inline-6 would do nicely — then the finishing order here could easily change. We do give the Wrangler extra credit for the 4xe plug-in hybrid model, which zips to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and offers 22 miles of electric range. A $50k starting price limits the 4xe's appeal, however, especially when the Bronco V6 can be had for a few grand cheaper."—Ranked #2 out of 2 Compact Off-Road SUVs

- 2025 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 Manual Transmission 4-Door
- 2025 Jeep Wrangler 2.0T Automatic Transmission 4-Door
- 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2.0T Plug-In Hybrid)
- 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 (6.4 Automatic Transmission 4-Door)
1. 2025 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 Manual Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $32,095
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.6-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 6-speed manual
- Horsepower: 285
- Torque: 260 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.1 sec
- Weight: 3,948 lbs
- Length: 166.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 2,000 lbs
It's well known that the two-door Wrangler is getting dominated by the four-door on the sales charts, but to us, this is the quintessential Jeep right here — two doors and a manual transmission. It's not for everyone, obviously, but we love the fact that the cheapest Wrangler is also arguably the purest and most desirable. It's borderline stupid fast for what it is, too, nearly breaking into the high 5-second range from 0-60.
2. 2025 Jeep Wrangler 2.0T Automatic Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $34,595
- MPG Combined: 21
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 270
- Torque: 295 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,044 lbs
- Length: 166.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 2,000 lbs
According to the EPA, fuel economy is barely better with the 2.0T than with the 3.6-liter V6. Your mileage may vary, but we'd expect more of an efficiency bump from the smaller engine.
3. 2025 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 Manual Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $36,695
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.6-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 6-speed manual
- Horsepower: 285
- Torque: 260 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,167 lbs
- Length: 188.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
It's no mystery why the four-door Wrangler outsells the two-door by a wide margin — you get more rear legroom (with easier access thanks to actual doors), more cargo space and more towing capacity. We appreciate that Jeep still offers a manual in the four-door, too.
4. 2025 Jeep Wrangler 2.0T Automatic Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $39,195
- MPG Combined: 21
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 270
- Torque: 295 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,296 lbs
- Length: 188.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 5,000 lbs
Mirroring the Wrangler 2-door, the 2.0T four-cylinder is the cheapest engine in the 4-door lineup if you want the automatic transmission (the V6 is cheaper if you're OK with the manual). Like the V6 4-door, the 2.0T 4-door only unlocks that 5,000-pound towing capacity in Rubicon spec; otherwise, you're capped at 3,500 pounds.
5. 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2.0T Plug-In Hybrid)
- Base Price: $50,695
- MPG Combined: 20
- EV Range: 22 mi
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 375
- Torque: 470 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.5 sec
- Weight: 5,049 lbs
- Length: 188.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
The Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid has always struck us as an answer to a question nobody asked, but they've been selling briskly. Shows what we know. You'll certainly save a bundle on gas if you take frequent short trips around town and can do so in EV mode, but you're also paying a bundle up front just to get into the 4xe.
6. 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 (6.4 Automatic Transmission 4-Door)
- Base Price: $102,500 (est.)
- MPG Combined: 14
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 6.4-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 470
- Torque: 470 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.0 sec
- Weight: 5,245 lbs
- Length: 192.5 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
The V8-powered Rubicon 392 is destined to be a classic. If you have a chance to buy one, just do it.
