Is the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer a Good SUV?
"Does it look as cool as, say, a Tahoe or an Expedition? Not a chance, and that's this Jeep's biggest problem. It's especially nondescript from the side and rear, as if its designers ran out of ideas after they finished the front fascia. Otherwise, the Ram 1500-based Wagoneer is chock full of impressive features and capabilities, including unusually decent fuel economy for a beast of this magnitude. It also rides well and accelerates briskly."—Ranked #4 out of 6 Full-Size SUVs
Which 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer 3.0T Rear-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $59,945
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter inline-6

Even the base Wagoneer has ambitious pricing relative to its rivals, but it backs up that ask with some serious capabilities.
2. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer 3.0T Four-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $62,945
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter inline-6

Adding four-wheel drive doesn't help the Wagoneer on the fuel-economy front, but we suppose that's not really the point of a beast like this. Notably, although the EPA considers all 4WD Wagoneers to be equal, there are actually two different 4WD systems, one with low-range gearing (Quadra-Drive II) and the other without (Quadra-Trac I). The latter is the standard version, but you can add the former to even the base Wagoneer 4x4 by selecting the Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow package. In other words, Quadra-Drive II fortunately isn't an exclusive feature that you have to pay a lot to get.
