Is the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid a Good Car?
"The Accord Hybrid is surprisingly quick — 6.5 seconds to 60 mph — and unsurprisingly very frugal at the gas pump. We continue to struggle with the current Accord's ungainly proportions, but putting styling aside, it's hard to find a weakness amid all of this sedan's strengths. One minor complaint is that the hybrid-only Camry is about $5k cheaper to start, so it's possible to get into the Toyota for a lot less coin."—Ranked #2 out of 4 Midsize Hybrid Sedans

1. 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport/Touring (19-Inch Wheels)
- Base Price: $33,655
- MPG Combined: 44
- Drive Type: Front-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: Automatic
- Horsepower: 204
- Torque: 247 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.6 sec
- Weight: 3,477 lbs
- Length: 195.7 in
Most Accord Hybrid trims come standard with 19-inch wheels, including the Sport trim, which is the specific Accord Hybrid that starts at the base price cited here. You'll see that the fuel economy is already stellar, but if you can live with less sporty-looking 17-inch wheels, those numbers get even better.
2. 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L (17-Inch Wheels)
- Base Price: $34,940
- MPG Combined: 48
- Drive Type: Front-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: Automatic
- Horsepower: 204
- Torque: 247 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.6 sec
- Weight: 3,468 lbs
- Length: 195.7 in
There's only one Accord Hybrid that comes with 17-inch wheels, and that's the EX-L trim, which actually costs more than the base Sport with its 19-inch wheels. Why pay more for 17s? Because if the EPA's right about those fuel economy projections, you're going to save a significant sum over time due to the car's superior efficiency with the smaller wheels.
