New for 2024, the 2.5-liter turbo four has 48 more horses in the stable than its 2.0-liter predecessor, closing the gap considerably between this base engine and the optional turbo V6.
All-wheel drive docks you a point on the fuel-economy front, which is a bit unfortunate because the G70 is already a laggard in that department. We would expect 30 mpg or better on the highway from a four-cylinder sedan in this class.
Although the base four-cylinder is no slouch, the 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 is still where it's at if you want the full G70 experience. This car is downright fast when you put your foot in it. Fuel-efficient it is not, but otherwise this powertrain comes up aces.
If you're not up on the latest from Genesis, you might be surprised to see that the G70 V6 AWD hits 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. That's sports-car quick. Genesis isn't playing around.
