You're already paying an extra $3k for the Max versus the regular Expedition; why not another $3k to add four-wheel drive? As with the regular Expedition, the higher trims — from the Limited on up — get a few more horses and torques out of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 (totaling 400 hp and 480 lb-ft, to be exact), although we wouldn't expect that to make a difference you can feel.
