What's New for 2025?
The Expedition gets a thorough refresh for 2025, though that's not apparent from the outside, which we'd say is merely tweaked. Inside, however, there's a whole new dashboard that features a wide digital instrument panel competing for space with a landscape-oriented central touchscreen, which replaces the portrait-style screen in the outgoing Expedition. The engines and wheelbases essentially carry over, so the focus is really on what's in the new model's cabin.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition Max a Good SUV?
"The Expedition Max's extra length is purely about adding cargo space, which is why it's a bit surprising that the Ford trails its GM rivals by so much in that department. Otherwise, though, the Expedition Max is fully competitive."—Ranked #3 out of 4 Full-Size Extra-Long SUVs

The Expedition Max is essentially a "max cargo" option, as its three-row seating layout provides the same passenger space as the regular Expedition. You can just fit a lot more junk in the trunk.
2. 2025 Ford Expedition Max 3.5T Four-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $67,700
- MPG Combined: N/A
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.5-liter V6

You're already paying an extra $3k for the Max versus the regular Expedition; why not another $3k to add four-wheel drive? As with the regular Expedition, the higher trims — from the Limited on up — get a few more horses and torques out of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 (totaling 400 hp and 480 lb-ft, to be exact), although we wouldn't expect that to make a difference you can feel.
