Which 2024 Ford Bronco Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Ford Bronco that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.

1. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.3T Manual Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $39,630
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed manual
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,319 lbs
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
The cheapest Bronco you can buy is the cool-looking 2-door version that also happens to have a seven-speed manual transmission, so unless you hate shifting your own gears, you've got a couple arguments already for not spending a penny more. Note that the output figures for all Broncos (horsepower and torque) are based on premium fuel; you can use regular, Ford says, but you'll get less oomph. Note too that the fuel economy and curb weight for each configuration are the best-case scenario (i.e., highest and lowest, respectively), and the ground clearance is the worst-case scenario (i.e., the least impressive). As the tires get bigger via various packages, just be aware that the weight and ground clearance increase and the fuel economy decreases.
2. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.3T Manual Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $40,370
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed manual
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,499 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Opting for the 4-door Bronco gets you a significantly larger fuel tank, as well as the expected increases in cargo capacity and passenger space. Also expected is the fact that the 4-door is a lot longer, but keep that in mind if you value being able to maneuver in tight spots. The 2-door Bronco is a very short vehicle; the 4-door is not.
3. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.3T Automatic Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $41,125
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,319 lbs
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Add the automatic to the base 2-door Bronco and it only tacks on $1,495 without impacting fuel economy either way.
4. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.3T Automatic Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $41,865
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.5 sec
- Weight: 4,509 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
As with the 2-door Bronco, the 4-door with the base 2.3-liter engine lets you substitute a 10-speed automatic transmission for a reasonable $1,495. Zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds shows that even the four-cylinder Bronco can get up and go, although as you add bigger tires and more weight, that quickness will obviously fade a bit.
5. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.7T 2-Door
- Base Price: $46,970
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.7-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 330
- Torque: 415 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,491 lbs
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Don't be fooled by the 2.7-liter V6's barely better acceleration numbers. This, not the base four-cylinder, is the engine you want in your Bronco — it delivers authoritative acceleration that you can feel, and its fuel economy is virtually the same. The base MSRP quoted here is for the Black Diamond, trim, by the way, which is quite well-equipped. You might want to throw in a few options, but the bottom line is that a two-door Bronco V6 can be yours for less than $50k, and that's an appealing proposition.
6. 2024 Ford Bronco 2.7T 4-Door
- Base Price: $47,210
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.7-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 330
- Torque: 415 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.2 sec
- Weight: 4,661 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
The added weight of the 4-door body style is even more reason to upgrade to the satisfying turbocharged 2.7-liter V6. Other than the extra few grand Ford charges for it, there's no downside. As with the two-door Bronco V6, the base MSRP here applies to the Black Diamond trim, but there are multiple 2024 Bronco trims that offer the V6, among them the Heritage Edition and the Badlands.
7. 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor
- Base Price: $90,035
- MPG Combined: 15
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 418
- Torque: 440 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.6 sec
- Weight: 5,733 lbs
- Length: 191.0 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,500 lbs
The Bronco Raptor is a lot. First of all, it costs a lot — specifically, almost as much as two 4-door Broncos with the 2.7-liter V6. It also gets a fuel tank with 0.4 more gallons (why'd they bother?), a 3.0-liter V6 with substantially more output, a curb weight approaching three tons, all manner of off-road accessories and modifications, ridiculously wide fenders...it's just a lot. It's also an amazing vehicle if you can justify the price.
