What's New for 2025?
Big news if you've been lusting after a two-door Bronco V6 like we have — the only way to get one this year is via the Baja-inspired Stroppe Edition, which admittedly looks damn cool but starts at more than $75k. That's effectively a 50-percent hike compared to the entry price for last year's V6 two-door. The 2025 Bronco is largely unchanged otherwise, although the Raptor variant got a huge price cut of more than $10k halfway through the model year.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco a Good SUV?
"The Bronco boasts a more tech-forward interior than the older Wrangler, but its trump card is the optional 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engine, which sets it apart from the Jeep's so-so turbo four and rudimentary non-turbo V6. You can get that EcoBoost V6 with either two or four doors, and although it starts at about $50k for 2025, that kind of makes sense if you think of it as the Bronco equivalent of the Mustang GT. The base four-cylinder is a strong performer in its own right, but 300 horsepower is less impressive when it comes with a buzzy econo-car soundtrack. Step up to the beefy 330-hp V6 and you've got yourself the finest compact off-road SUV in the land for roughly the average cost of a new vehicle today. Do note, however, that if you want that V6 in a two-door Bronco, your only option for 2025 is the $75k-plus Stroppe Edition, a very cool Baja-inspired variant with fancy Fox shocks that unfortunately costs 50 percent more than the base four-door 2025 Bronco V6. In 2024, you could get a Bronco V6 with two or four doors for roughly the same $47k starting price."—Ranked #1 out of 2 Compact Off-Road SUVs

1. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.3T Manual Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $38,995
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed manual
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,319 lbs
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
The cheapest Bronco you can buy is the cool-looking 2-door version that also happens to have a seven-speed manual transmission, so unless you hate shifting your own gears, you've got a couple arguments already for not spending a penny more. Note that the output figures for all Broncos (horsepower and torque) are based on premium fuel; you can use regular, Ford says, but you'll get less oomph. Note too that the fuel economy and curb weight for each configuration are the best-case scenario (i.e., highest and lowest, respectively), and the ground clearance is the worst-case scenario (i.e., the least impressive). As the tires get bigger via various packages, just be aware that the weight and ground clearance increase and the fuel economy decreases.
2. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.3T Manual Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $38,995
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed manual
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,499 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Opting for the 4-door Bronco gets you a significantly larger fuel tank, as well as the expected increases in cargo capacity and passenger space. Also expected is the fact that the 4-door is a lot longer, but keep that in mind if you value being able to maneuver in tight spots. The 2-door Bronco is a very short vehicle; the 4-door is not.
3. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.3T Automatic Transmission 2-Door
- Base Price: $40,790
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,319 lbs
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Add the automatic to the base 2-door Bronco and it only tacks on $1,495 without impacting fuel economy either way.
4. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.3T Automatic Transmission 4-Door
- Base Price: $40,790
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.3-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 325 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.5 sec
- Weight: 4,509 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
As with the 2-door Bronco, the 4-door with the base 2.3-liter engine lets you substitute a 10-speed automatic transmission for a reasonable $1,495. Zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds shows that even the four-cylinder Bronco can get up and go, although as you add bigger tires and more weight, that quickness will obviously fade a bit.
5. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.7T 4-Door
- Base Price: $49,985
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.7-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 330
- Torque: 415 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.2 sec
- Weight: 4,661 lbs
- Length: 189.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
Don't be fooled by the 2.7-liter turbocharged V6's barely better acceleration numbers. This, not the base four-cylinder, is the engine you want in your Bronco — it delivers authoritative thrust that you can feel, and its fuel economy is virtually the same. The only downside is that the cheapest four-door Bronco V6 is the Outer Banks variant, and you'll pay about 50 grand just to get in the door.
6. 2025 Ford Bronco 2.7T 2-Door
- Base Price: $75,635
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.7-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 330
- Torque: 415 lb-ft
- Length: 173.7 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
We love the two-door Bronco V6 — it's like the Mustang GT of Broncos. Unfortunately, the starting price of this configuration has effectively increased by 50 percent for 2025, as you can only have it if you spring for the hugely expensive Stroppe Edition with its Baja-inspired graphics and fancy Fox shocks. It's a cool truck if you can afford it, but we'll miss the more attainable Bronco V6 two-doors of yesteryear.
7. 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor
- Base Price: $79,995
- MPG Combined: 15
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 418
- Torque: 440 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.6 sec
- Weight: 5,733 lbs
- Length: 191.0 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,500 lbs
The Bronco Raptor is a lot. First of all, it costs a lot, although a massive mid-2025 price cut has brought it a hair under $80k (previously it started at more than $90k). It also gets a fuel tank with 0.4 more gallons (why'd they bother?), a 3.0-liter V6 with substantially more output, a curb weight approaching three tons, all manner of off-road accessories and modifications, ridiculously wide fenders...it's just a lot. It's also an amazing vehicle if you can justify the price.
