The Lyriq carries over largely unchanged from last year, but Cadillac has managed to unlock another 25 horsepower for the RWD version and 15 hp for the Lyriq AWD. Range improves, too, by 12 miles for each configuration.

The Lyriq is a pretty cool electric SUV if you're looking for edgy style and 300-plus-mile range. If the acceleration doesn't hit hard enough for you, check out the dual motor variant.
It's amazing how little Cadillac charges to add a second motor to the Lyriq. For just a few grand more than the base single-motor setup, you not only get all-wheel drive with the second motor — you also get a huge injection of power and torque that turns the Lyriq into the EV SUV equivalent of a muscle car. The dual-motor Lyriq's trap speed (speed at the quarter-mile mark) of 113 mph is serious stuff by any standard, not to mention a whopping 14 mph faster than the single-motor Lyriq could manage. Also, you only lose seven miles of maximum range in return for all that performance. Talk about a no-brainer upgrade; we can't see a single reason not to go for it.
