Is the 2025 BMW iX a Good SUV?
"It looks kinda funky and it doesn't come cheap, but even the entry-level iX will get you to 60 mph in about four and a half seconds while delivering up to 309 miles of range. BMW's typically excellent engineering, driving dynamics and cabin technology makes this a highly tempting SUV if you can make peace with the styling. You want to feel like you're driving the future if you splurge on a luxury electric SUV, and with the possible exception of the Cadillac Lyriq, the iX checks that box better than any rival. We're also impressed by the iX's midsize-plus cargo capacity. But egads, look at that price!"—Ranked #2 out of 6 Midsize Luxury Electric SUVs

The entry-level iX xDrive50 is where it's at. Sure, it's technically slower than the M60 variant, but we're guessing 0-60 in 4.4 seconds is quick enough for most folks. Plus, you get more range this way, and you save about $25k(!).
2. 2025 BMW iX M60
- Base Price: $111,500
- Range: 285 mi (est.)
- Battery Capacity: 115.5 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 195 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2 electric motors
- Horsepower: 610
- Torque: 749 lb-ft
- 0-60: 3.6 sec
- Weight: 5,818 lbs
- Length: 195.0 in
- Towing Capacity: N/A
Some of BMW's "M"-badged performance cars make a lot of sense, but the iX M60 isn't one of them. It costs $25k more than the base iX, yet it only gets you to 60 mph eight-tenths of a second sooner, and it loses more than 20 miles of range. Why pay the premium?
