What's New for 2025?
The Q6 e-tron debuts this year atop the same platform as the Porsche Macan Electric, with which it shares many mechanical bits. You could look at it as a bargain Porsche, then, but it's also relatively expensive for this level of range and performance when you compare it to Tesla.

Is the 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron a Good SUV?
"The Q6 e-tron shares its platform and much of its innards with the Porsche Macan Electric, so it's natural to compare the two. We're not blown away by either model's styling, but they do check the box for subtlety. In particular, the Q6 e-tron looks like a normal Audi SUV, for the most part, although its tall, blunt nose falls short of suaveness. Moving to the numbers, we're impressed by how accurately the Q6 e-tron hits the marks established by the top-selling Model Y. If you want 300-plus miles of range, quick acceleration and rapid DC charging in a more luxurious package than Tesla can provide, the Q6 e-tron is well-positioned to be your next EV SUV. As with so many Model Y rivals, the main problem is pricing — the Q6 e-tron will cost you $15-20k more just to get in the door."—Ranked #2 out of 13 Compact Luxury Electric SUVs
Which 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron (Single Motor AWD)
- Base Price: $63,800
- Range: 321 mi
- Battery Capacity: 100.0 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 260 kW
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 1 electric motor
- Horsepower: 322
- Torque: N/A
- 0-60: 6.3 sec
- Weight: 4,982 lbs
- Length: 187.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,400 lbs
The entry-level Q6 e-tron does indeed give you up to 321 miles of range, but that's if you get the Q6 e-tron ultra, a special configuration with 18-inch wheels that's geared toward efficiency. It's not a huge difference, though. Your range will drop to 310 miles if you skip the "ultra" and get 19-inch wheels, while the 20-inch wheels result in a 298-mile rating from the EPA. These are impressive range figures that put the Q6 e-tron right in the thick of things with the top-selling Tesla Model Y.
2. 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron Quattro (Dual Motor AWD)
- Base Price: $65,800
- Range: 307 mi
- Battery Capacity: 100.0 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 270 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2 electric motors
- Horsepower: 456
- Torque: N/A
- 0-60: 4.9 sec
- Weight: 5,269 lbs
- Length: 187.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,400 lbs
Adding Audi's quattro AWD to the Q6 e-tron only costs $2k and gives you a huge injection of power, quickening the sprint to 60 mph by nearly a second and a half. Remarkably, there's no range penalty — comparing the standard rear-drive model with 19-inch wheels to the Q6 e-tron quattro with 19s, the latter only loses 3 miles of range (307 miles versus 310). That's crazy, and it makes us wonder why anyone would buy the rear-drive model. There's no downside to the quattro upgrade, and here again Audi is marching in lockstep with the Tesla Model Y, delivering about the same range and acceleration as the Model Y AWD, albeit for many thousands more.
