"The centerpiece of the TLX Type S is a sweet turbocharged V6 that catapults you to 60 mph in about four and a half seconds. That's plenty quick to compete in this class, and the standard SH-AWD drivetrain makes the Type-S feel smaller and more nimble than it ought to. Unfortunately, packaging limitations stemming from the TLX's front-drive platform have left it with a compromised backseat that's cramped even by compact-sedan standards, let alone the spacious midsize crew assembled here.
