Is the 2024 Toyota Venza a Good SUV?
"Based on the RAV4 Hybrid despite its dramatically different styling, the Venza is a bit pricier than its platform-mate. Unfortunately, it's also heavier, slower, less spacious and less versatile — it doesn't even have a tow rating. Given the RAV4 Hybrid's popularity and all-around goodness, we're not shocked that 2024 will be the last year for the Venza. Still, it's a fairly compelling small hybrid SUV on its own merits thanks to its excellent fuel economy and unique styling."—Ranked #11 out of 11 Compact Hybrid SUVs
Which 2024 Toyota Venza Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. There's only one standalone version of the 2024 Toyota Venza, and here it is, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
2024 Toyota Venza Hybrid AWD
- Base Price: $35,070
- MPG Combined: 39
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.5-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 219
- Torque: N/A
- 0-60: 7.6 sec
- Weight: 3,847 lbs
- Length: 186.6 in
- Towing Capacity: N/A
Compared to the RAV4 Hybrid on which it's based, the Venza is a few grand more expensive, longer, heavier, slower, and less capacious inside. It's also not rated to tow anything, whereas at least the RAV4 Hybrid can tow 1,750 pounds. No great surprise, then, that 2024 is the last year for the Venza. But don't get us wrong — if the RAV4 Hybrid didn't exist, it would be a pretty compelling small SUV thanks to its excellent fuel economy and unique styling.
