The Sentra nails the fuel economy part of the equation, but in other respects it fails to keep up with small-sedan segment leaders. Acceleration is particularly underwhelming. Note that the EPA says you'll lose a single mile per gallon, dropping to 33 mpg combined (30 city/38 highway), if you opt for the top-of-the-line SR with its larger wheels and tires. Since the SR uses the same powertrain as the rest of the Sentras, we'd advise giving it a miss.
