Don't be alarmed by the Cooper Convertible's familiar taillights, which carry over from the previous generation. We initially thought they signified that the Convertible itself was a carryover model, but it turns out that the pinched taillights on the Hardtop variants simply wouldn't work for packaging reasons here.
