What's New for 2025?
A new, larger 118-kWh battery pack across the lineup brings slightly improved range for the most part, including an impressive-for-a-non-Lucid-or-Tesla estimate of 390 miles for the base EQS 450+. Visually, the newly standard Luxury Line package introduces the traditional Mercedes hood ornament to the EQS. Mercedes says that the regenerative braking software has been revised to increase energy capture, while the rear seat cushions have been modified to enhance comfort. Newly standard features include soft-close doors, a digital vehicle key and a center airbag between the front seats.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan a Good Car?
"The problem with the EQS isn't its performance or range, both of which are competitive. Instead, it's the fact that this is supposed to be the S-Class of electric sedans, the best in the business, whereas in reality it's just okay. There's no doubt that the melty-soft styling is one of the culprits here — if the EQS looked great and made people want to buy one on that basis, its less-than-stellar numbers would be easier to rationalize. But there's zero desirability in this design, which shines a harsher light on the EQS's lofty pricing, middling charge speed and so-so acceleration by luxury EV standards. The EQS does offer one notable parlor trick courtesy of its hatchback trunk: fold down the rear seatbacks and you've got an incredible 63 cubic feet of cargo capacity, better than many SUVs."—Ranked #2 out of 2 Full-Size Luxury Electric Cars
