1. 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Sedan (Single Motor Rear-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $74,900
- Range: 298 mi
- Battery Capacity: 90.6 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 170 kW
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 1 electric motor
- Horsepower: 288
- Torque: 417 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.2 sec
- Weight: 5,201 lbs
- Length: 196.9 in
The entry-level EQE 350+ checks some boxes for an electric midsize luxury sedan, including range of nearly 300 miles per charge. Its acceleration is unimpressive for a $75k EV, however, as is its peak DC charge rate of 170 kW.
2. 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC Sedan (Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $77,900
- Range: 280 mi
- Battery Capacity: 90.6 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 170 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2 electric motors
- Horsepower: 288
- Torque: 564 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.0 sec
- Weight: 5,434 lbs
- Length: 196.9 in
The EQE 350 4MATIC is a bit of a head-scratcher in that it's got twice as many electric motors as the base EQE 350+ (two versus one), yet it makes the exact same amount of horsepower. Granted, there's more torque with 4MATIC, but there's also more weight, so the result is virtually a dead heat in the sprint to 60 mph, plus 18 fewer miles of range for the pricier 4MATIC version.
3. 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 4MATIC Sedan (Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $85,900
- Range: 298 mi
- Battery Capacity: 90.6 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 170 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2 electric motors
- Horsepower: 402
- Torque: 633 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.5 sec
- Weight: 5,445 lbs
- Length: 196.9 in
The EQE 500 is what an EQE should be, delivering impressive acceleration along with nearly 300 miles of range. It still lags behind the best in terms of DC charging speed, but if you're considering an EQE, the 500 is easily the pick of the litter.
4. 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG EQE 4MATIC+ Sedan
- Base Price: $106,900
- Range: 230 mi
- Battery Capacity: 90.6 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 170 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2 electric motors
- Horsepower: 617
- Torque: 701 lb-ft
- 0-60: 3.2 sec
- Length: 196.9 in
The AMG EQE gives us pause like so many high-performance EVs do these days. Why? Because sure, it's the fastest version of the EQE you can buy, but you have to give up nearly 70 miles of range relative to the second-fastest EQE 500, which is a fast car in its own right. Is it worth giving up all that range to go even faster? Mercedes charges $21k more for the AMG version, too — a tough sell.
