What's New for 2025?
Significantly refreshed this year, the Aviator gains tweaked exterior styling and a new 13.2-inch touchscreen powered by Google. Also, Lincoln's hands-free BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving system — which was previously unavailable — comes standard on every Aviator. Towing capacity is down by 600 pounds, in case anyone's counting, while the base price is up by more than $5,000.

"The Aviator is one of the longer vehicles in this segment, but the third row is cramped unless you're a kid, and the cargo space is likewise unremarkable — so the extra length doesn't have a versatility payoff. We like the payoff under the hood, though, which comes in the form of Ford's excellent turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. An overhaul for 2025 brings fresh tech inside, including standard BlueCruise. Lincoln has done its best to shine up the Ford Explorer for Aviator duty, and we certainly like the result under the hood. The only way to get the desirable turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 in the Explorer is to spend well into the $50s, which gets up to where the Aviator starts.
All-wheel drive adds commendably little weight to the Aviator and leaves fuel economy virtually unaffected.
