Is the 2024 Lexus RC F a Good Car?
"We can't muster the same affection for the RC F that we feel for the related IS 500, which shares the same 5.0-liter V8 powertrain. There's something more timeless about the IS sedan's styling, as well as a sense that Lexus has worked harder to keep the similarly ancient IS up to date. But here's the case for the RC F: it's the only car left in this segment that offers naturally aspirated V8 power. If you're a sucker for the siren song of a great V8 at wide-open throttle, we totally get it. In that way, at least, the RC F's age is an asset."—Ranked #4 out of 5 Compact High-Performance Coupes
Which 2024 Lexus RC F Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. There's only one standalone version of the 2024 Lexus RC F, and here it is, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
2024 Lexus RC F (5.0 8-Speed Automatic)
- Base Price: $67,145
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 5.0-liter V8
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 472
- Torque: 395 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.0 sec
- Weight: 3,946 lbs
- Length: 185.4 in
Although this RC generation is generally long in the tooth, the RC F's naturally aspirated V8 is one anachronism we would gladly live with. We'd just prefer to enjoy this very same powertrain in the IS 500 sedan, but if you're drawn to the RC F, we totally get it.
