1. 2024 Jaguar F-Pace P250 (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $57,000
- MPG Combined: 24
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 246
- Torque: 269 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.9 sec
- Weight: 4,015 lbs
- Length: 186.9 in
- Towing Capacity: 5,291 lbs
On the 0-60 front, we'd take Jaguar's 6.9-second estimate with a grain of salt. The base F-Pace shares its 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with the smaller, lighter E-Pace, yet Jaguar's estimate for the latter is 7.0 seconds. Could the F-Pace's 8-speed automatic shift that much quicker than the E-Pace's 9-speed auto? In any case, the F-Pace 2.0T is slow by segment standards, and its fuel economy is also relatively poor — a common complaint about this Jaguar engine across the company's products.
2. 2024 Jaguar F-Pace P400 (3.0T S/C All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $66,500
- MPG Combined: 21
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter inline-6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged and supercharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 395
- Torque: 406 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.1 sec
- Weight: 4,305 lbs
- Length: 186.9 in
- Towing Capacity: 5,291 lbs
The six-cylinder F-Pace's acceleration improves dramatically, which is no surprise. Still, the BMW X3 M40i xDrive has similar power and weight numbers, yet gets to 60 almost a second quicker and costs thousands less. The F-Pace P400's fuel economy isn't particularly impressive either.
3. 2024 Jaguar F-Pace SVR (5.0 S/C All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $92,400
- MPG Combined: 17
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 5.0-liter V8
- Aspiration: Supercharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 542
- Torque: 516 lb-ft
- 0-60: 3.7 sec
- Weight: 4,535 lbs
- Length: 187.5 in
- Towing Capacity: 5,291 lbs
Just about anything powered by Jaguar's supercharged 5.0-liter V8 is automatically awesome, and so it is with the F-Pace SVR. We're not sold on the F-Pace's lesser engines, but if you asked us which performance SUV we'd buy for $90k or thereabouts, the SVR would be right at the top of the list.
