What's New for 2025?
Big news for the Tucson this year, as an exterior refresh is paired with a thoroughly revamped interior. The centerpiece is a redesigned dashboard with a panoramic curved display that houses a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen and optionally a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Fancier models feature a relocated shift lever on the steering column, while all Tucsons are treated to wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and keyless entry/ignition.

With a useful 32 miles of electric range and a similarly useful 35-mpg EPA rating once the EV range runs out, the Tucson Plug-In Hybrid exemplifies the unique appeal of PHEVs. Note that the Tucson PHEV gains a few hundred pounds relative to the regular Tucson Hybrid, so it's an open question whether the PHEV's extra horsepower is enough to offset that weight gain (we don't have numbers as of this writing, but the nearly identical Kia Sportage PHEV does manage to out-sprint its Hybrid sibling).
