What's New for 2025?
Fully redesigned this year, the 2025 Terrain vaults forward in the compact SUV race thanks to handsome new styling. The lackluster 1.5T four-cylinder engine carries over, however, and it will be paired with an equally meh CVT (which subtracts torque and towing capacity) when the front-drive version debuts. At launch, all 2025 Terrains will have AWD and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The lackluster 1.5T four-cylinder engine carries over, however, and it will be paired with an equally meh CVT (which subtracts torque and towing capacity) when the front-wheel-drive version debuts. At least the AWD Terrain has a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission."—Ranked #12 out of 15 Compact SUVs
