Is the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe a Good SUV?
"In a segment known for sporty handling, the GV80 Coupe unapologetically aims for luxury. But not everyone wants a massive SUV that can corner like a sport sedan, right? If you're cool with the relatively ponderous feel in tight turns, the GV80 Coupe will reward you with impressive isolation from the outside world."—Ranked #4 out of 4 Midsize Luxury SUV Coupes

1. 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5T All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $79,950
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.5-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 375
- Torque: 391 lb-ft
- Weight: 5,049 lbs
- Length: 195.5 in
- Towing Capacity: 6,000 lbs
The GV80 Coupe follows the usual "SUV coupe" formula: It's roughly the same length, width and height as the regular GV80, but its fastback rear roofline robs a fractional amount of rear headroom and a more significant 21.9 cubic feet of cargo space. It's also about $6k more expensive to start compared with the GV80 3.5T.
2. 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5T e-SC (All-Wheel Drive w/Supercharger)
- Base Price: $85,750
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.5-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged and supercharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 409
- Torque: 405 lb-ft
- Weight: 5,159 lbs
- Length: 195.5 in
- Towing Capacity: 6,000 lbs
When equipped with the mild-hybrid "e-SC" engine, which boasts an electrically driven supercharger that fills the gaps in the turbocharged V6's power delivery, the GV80 Coupe is significantly more fuel-efficient in the city. That's despite gaining both weight and power in the deal, which is a hard trick to pull off. For about $6k more than the standard GV80 Coupe 3.5T, it's a tempting upgrade.
