Which 2024 Genesis GV70 Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Genesis GV70 that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2024 Genesis GV70 2.5T All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $45,150
- MPG Combined: 24
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.5-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 311 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.6 sec
- Weight: 4,167 lbs
- Length: 185.6 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
We're still trying to figure out how the GV70 2.5T AWD gets better fuel economy, per the EPA, than the G70 2.5T AWD sedan, which uses the same powertrain and is smaller and lighter. In any case, take note that the 24/22/28 EPA splits are for the 18-inch and 19-inch wheels; if you get the 21s, technically you're looking at 22 mpg combined (19 city and 26 highway).
2. 2024 Genesis GV70 3.5T All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $57,750
- MPG Combined: 20
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.5-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 375
- Torque: 391 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.9 sec
- Weight: 4,453 lbs
- Length: 185.6 in
- Towing Capacity: 3,500 lbs
We generally prefer the optional engine upgrade in a case like this, but the GV70 3.5T V6 gives us pause. Its fuel economy is notably worse than that of the base 2.5T model, yet the acceleration numbers don't improve dramatically — and the V6 costs much more. The fuel tank is the same size either way, incidentally, so you'll have less driving range if you get the V6.
