What's New for 2025?
It’s a big year for the Bronco Sport, highlighted by a new 12.3-inch digital instrument display that's paired with a new 13.2-inch central touchscreen running Ford's SYNC 4 software. The climate controls have been streamlined as a result, and 2025 Bronco Sport buyers will also benefit from standard Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ across the lineup, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. Minor emissions adjustments result in 12 fewer horsepower for the 2.0T engine, but towing capacity for that engine goes up by 500 pounds to 2,700. A new Sasquatch package (pictured above) gives the surprisingly capable Bronco Sport even more off-road credibility.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport a Good SUV?
"The Bronco Sport acquits itself admirably well off-road for a car-based SUV (it's derived from the Escape), while its updated interior has ample screen real estate and plenty of desirable features. We don't love the standard three-cylinder engine, though, and the optional turbo four is seriously expensive. Fuel economy also fails to impress, with all Bronco Sports checking in at less than 30 mpg highway. We should note that the Bronco Sport's tidy length actually qualifies it for the Subcompact SUV segment, but its elevated pricing and Escape-based underpinnings make it a more natural fit here."—Ranked #8 out of 15 Compact SUVs
Which 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2025 Ford Bronco Sport 1.5T
- Base Price: $30,995
- MPG Combined: 26
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 1.5-liter inline-3
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 180
- Torque: 200 lb-ft
- 0-60: 8.2 sec
- Weight: 3,458 lbs
- Length: 173.0 in
- Towing Capacity: 2,200 lbs
The entry-level Bronco Sport is surprisingly not that slow with the three-cylinder engine, but the three can't hold a candle to the optional turbo four. You have to shell out for the expensive and relatively specialized Badlands to get the four, though, so most Bronco Sports are likely to have three cylinders. Unless you're serious about utilizing the Bronco Sport's respectable off-road chops, we'd recommend taking a close look at the Escape with the turbo four, as it'll run you thousands less than the Bronco Sport Badlands.
2. 2025 Ford Bronco Sport 2.0T
- Base Price: $40,115
- MPG Combined: 23
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 238
- Torque: 277 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.9 sec
- Weight: 3,809 lbs
- Length: 173.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 2,700 lbs
We love how the 2.0T transforms the acceleration of the Bronco Sport. What we don't love is that you have to step up to the off-road-oriented (and pricey) Badlands trim to get it. The Bronco Sport would be much more appealing overall if the 2.0T were more widely available.
