Is the 2025 Cadillac Optiq a Good SUV?
"A radically reskinned dual-motor Chevy Equinox EV, the Optiq has head-turning style and sleek infotainment screens on its side, but will its Equinox origins hold it back at this premium price point? That Equinox is one of the least exciting dual-motor EVs on the market with its sub-300-horsepower output, and the Optiq only makes slightly more power while weighing in at more than 2.5 tons. We'd feel a lot more bullish on this Caddy if it had at least as much oomph as the similarly priced, 365-hp Chevy Blazer EV RWD, which incidentally gives you 330-plus miles of range. Shoot, the Cadillac Lyriq costs less than $6k more to start — why not just get one of those? Both the Blazer EV and the Lyriq are technically midsize, but they're close enough to consider."—Ranked #5 out of 13 Compact Luxury Electric SUVs

Essentially a rebadged dual-motor Chevy Equinox EV, the Optiq looks like it'll have its work cut out to compete in the $50k-plus electric SUV game. The Equinox-sourced powertrain makes just 12 more hp and 8 more lb-ft of torque for Optiq duty, and it's tasked with moving a hefty 5,200-lb vehicle.
