The entry-level X7 checks most of the boxes for shoppers in search of a three-row luxury SUV. Would we like a bit more oomph under the hood? Sure, but the optional V8 (i.e., the M60i xDrive version) doesn't come cheap.
We might advise not test-driving the X7 M60i, because as good as the xdrive40i's turbocharged inline-6 engine is, this twin-turbo V8 is on a different level. The problem is, it's also on a different price level, so tread carefully unless you're prepared to shell out well into six figures for your X7.
