Is the 2025 Audi A8 a Good Car?
"The once-great A8 has fallen behind, which is perhaps understandable given Audi's focus on rolling out SUVs and EVs. But those challenges aren't unique to Audi, and the A8 used to be a perennial contender. As with so many gas-powered Audis right now, it's just hard to make a compelling case for buying the A8. It's a perfectly nice car, but the cool factor is negligible and nothing really stands out as being clearly superior."—Ranked #5 out of 6 Full-Size Luxury Sedans

2025 Audi A8 L 55 TFSI Quattro (3.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $92,000
- MPG Combined: 22
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 335
- Torque: 369 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.6 sec
- Weight: 4,762 lbs
- Length: 209.5 in
The 2024 A8's single spec pairs a stretched long-wheelbase body with Audi's widely used 3.0-liter turbocharged V6. It's a nice engine, but 335 horsepower isn't much for a car that weighs nearly 2.5 tons.
