Which 2024 Audi A7 Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Audi A7 that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2024 Audi A7 55 TFSI (3.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $72,000
- MPG Combined: 25
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 362
- Torque: 369 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.2 sec
- Weight: 4,332 lbs
- Length: 195.9 in
The A7 is essentially a hatchback version of the A6 55 TFSI, which is a very good thing. The 55 TFSI powertrain centers around a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that serves up serious acceleration with impeccable refinement, plus a bonus 27 horsepower boost for A7 duty. The A7 also boasts a hatchback cargo area that holds far more than the A6 sedan, but you'll pay nearly 10 grand more for that privilege, so it's worth considering whether you really need the A7's extra cargo space, and of course its alluring fastback design.
2. 2024 Audi S7 (2.9T AWD)
- Base Price: $85,300
- MPG Combined: 22
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.9-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 444
- Torque: 442 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.5 sec
- Weight: 4,597 lbs
- Length: 196.0 in
The S7 used to have a luscious turbocharged V8 engine. You'll forgive us for that hint of nostalgia given that the current S7 has a turbocharged V6, just like the regular A7 55 TFSI. But the S7 actually isn't "just like" its lesser sibling, because its V6 is twin-turbocharged to produce nearly 80 more horsepower. Is that enough to justify a price hike of more than 13 grand? Now you're asking the hard questions.
