Which 2024 Audi A4 Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Audi A4 that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2024 Audi A4 40 TFSI (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $41,900
- MPG Combined: 30
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 201
- Torque: 236 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.3 sec
- Weight: 3,627 lbs
- Length: 187.5 in
The base A4 40 TFSI's paltry horsepower rating (for a luxury sedan in this class) might give you pause, but Audi says it'll still get to 60 in just over 6 seconds. All-wheel drive comes standard on every A4, so a key question is whether you're OK with the 40 TFSI's power output. The 45 TFSI does pump out quite a bit more.
2. 2024 Audi A4 45 TFSI (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $44,100
- MPG Combined: 27
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 261
- Torque: 273 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.2 sec
- Weight: 3,627 lbs
- Length: 187.5 in
The A4 45 TFSI uses a 2.0-liter turbo four just like the base A4 40 TFSI, but the pricier 45 pumps up the volume with an extra 60 horsepower or so. That chops nearly a second off the 0-60-mph sprint, although it also takes a sizable bite out of the EPA's fuel economy estimates.
