The 2025 Tonale welcomes a non-PHEV variant to the lineup that uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and costs considerably less. Aside from that and a newly available sport-themed Tributo Italiano package, the Tonale carries over unchanged.

Is the 2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale a Good SUV?
"About as cramped as an economy hatchback and saddled with a stiff ride, the Tonale is likely a nonstarter unless you're smitten with the rather odd styling. A new base model for 2025, utilizing a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, joins the existing Tonale Plug-In Hybrid, which offers a useful 33 miles of all-electric range. The PHEV could be a gamechanger if you want those electric miles, but otherwise, the Tonale's snug interior and lack of refinement let it down. In case you're in love with this machine and think we're full of it, just keep in mind that you could save thousands by going with the Dodge Hornet, which is essentially the same vehicle."—Ranked #10 out of 12 Subcompact Luxury SUVs
