Which 2024 Acura RDX Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Acura RDX that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
1. 2024 Acura RDX 2.0T All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $44,350
- MPG Combined: 23
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 272
- Torque: 280 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.2 sec
- Weight: 4,014 lbs
- Length: 187.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 1,500 lbs
One thing that stands out about the RDX is its standard all-wheel-drive system, which adds appeal in the snow belt but also contributes to its surprisingly low fuel economy for a small four-cylinder SUV. It's hard not to like the RDX overall, but it's also hard to find clear reasons to favor it over the competition.
2. 2024 Acura RDX A-Spec (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $50,000
- MPG Combined: 23
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 272
- Torque: 280 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.2 sec
- Weight: 4,024 lbs
- Length: 187.4 in
- Towing Capacity: 1,500 lbs
The RDX A-Spec is essentially an appearance package that imbues Acura's small SUV with a more overtly sporty character. Part of the deal is a set of 20-inch wheels (versus 19s on the regular RDX) shod with bigger tires, which is why the A-Spec loses 1 mpg on the highway per the EPA. Otherwise it's mainly about looks, though the A-Spec does come standard with a 16-speaker ELS audio system that's only available on the regular RDX via the Advance package.
