Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback a Good Car?
"If you haven't thought about Corollas in a while, you might be surprised by how sporty the current Corolla hatchback looks and feels. Unfortunately, its styling writes a check that its powertrain can't cash — sluggish acceleration is one of our primary reservations about this model. The other notable concern is interior space: even though hatchbacks tend to be more versatile than their sedan counterparts, the Corolla Hatchback actually has less rear legroom than its sedan counterpart, which is already challenged in that area. Which 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. There's only one standalone version of the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, and here it is, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback 2.0 CVT
- Base Price: $23,780
- MPG Combined: 35
- Drive Type: Front-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: CVT
- Horsepower: 169

The Corolla Hatchback is a full 10 inches shorter than the sedan, which is handy for parking, but you also lose a significant slice of rear legroom in that trade. Otherwise, it's largely the same car, so it's your choice between hatchback versatility (and parkability) and the larger backseat of the sedan.
