You do have other delectable options if you're looking to spend $90k-plus on a V8-powered luxury SUV. Definitely don't sleep on the Audi SQ8, BMW X5 M60 or Porsche Cayenne S, though keep in mind that none of those offers a third-row seat. That trio and the Benz would make for a fantastic afternoon of test drives. You can't go wrong, clearly. But it will be hard to say no to the GLE 580, which brings together thrilling performance and old-school luxury like few vehicles on the market. ⛐ md

It's hilarious how hard it is to find a press photo of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE 580. We're talking about a $90k luxury SUV with a 510-horsepower turbo V8 under the hood. Only in Germany would such a serious machine get lost in the shuffle somehow.
