The Niro EV is an interesting proposition when compared to its electrified stablemate, the Niro PHEV (plug-in hybrid). While the latter only gives you 34 miles of electric range, it also offers the backup plan of a gas-powered hybrid powertrain. But the Niro EV provides a healthy 253 miles of EV range and appreciably quicker acceleration than the PHEV, all for about $5k more to start.
