1. 2024 Jeep Gladiator 3.6 Manual Transmission
- Base Price: $37,895
- MPG Combined: 18
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.6-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 6-speed manual
- Horsepower: 285
- Torque: 260 lb-ft
- 0-60: 8.5 sec
- Weight: 4,640 lbs
- Length: 218.0 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,500 lbs
- Payload Capacity: 1,150 lbs
The base stick-shift Gladiator is good fun unless you really need to accelerate, in which case it doesn't have your back. Remember, the Gladiator is hundreds of pounds heavier than the base Wrangler 2-door with the same powertrain, so while the Wrangler can scoot, the Gladiator feels weighed down. Note that the 4,500-pound towing limit is for the pricier Mojave and Rubicon trims; otherwise, the manual Gladiator is limited to 4,000 pounds.
2. 2024 Jeep Gladiator 3.6 Automatic Transmission
- Base Price: $40,395
- MPG Combined: 19
- Drive Type: Four-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.6-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 285
- Torque: 260 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,662 lbs
- Length: 218.0 in
- Towing Capacity: 7,700 lbs
- Payload Capacity: 1,725 lbs
The automatic transmission makes the Gladiator eligible for the Max Tow package, which also bumps up the maximum payload rating. Thus equipped, the Gladiator is fully competitive with other midsize trucks in terms of towing and payload.
