1. 2024 Infiniti Q50 3.0T Rear-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $43,050
- MPG Combined: 23
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 295 lb-ft
- Weight: 3,781 lbs
- Length: 189.6 in
The Q50 comes standard with turbocharged V6 power — that's the good news. It's a relatively inefficient engine, however, when you compare it with today's best turbo sixes. Take BMW's B58 engine, for example, which can be found in the rival BMW M340i sedan. It makes far more power and is more fuel-efficient besides.
2. 2024 Infiniti Q50 3.0T All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $45,050
- MPG Combined: 22
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 300
- Torque: 295 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.0 sec
- Weight: 3,935 lbs
- Length: 189.6 in
Zero to 60 mph in 5 seconds flat is quick enough to get anyone's attention. There's no doubt that this aging Infiniti can still haul the mail — and this is the base version of the turbo V6, remember. We haven't gotten to the Red Sport yet.
3. 2024 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 (3.0T RWD)
- Base Price: $56,500
- MPG Combined: 22
- Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 400
- Torque: 350 lb-ft
- 0-60: 4.5 sec
- Weight: 3,880 lbs
- Length: 189.6 in
It's a testament to the enduring competitiveness of Infiniti's turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 — specifically in "Red Sport 400" tune — that you could get this very car all the way back in the 2016 model year, yet here we are today and it's still neck-and-neck with the segment-standard BMW 340i at the quarter mile. Seriously, that 112-mph trap speed is right on top of the turbo-six BMW, which has one of the most highly regarded engines in the world. Fuel economy? Well, that's a different story.
4. 2024 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 (3.0T AWD)
- Base Price: $58,500
- MPG Combined: 22
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.0-liter V6
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 400
- Torque: 350 lb-ft
- Weight: 4,023 lbs
- Length: 189.6 in
Adding all-wheel drive surprisingly doesn't affect the Q50 Red Sport's fuel economy very much, subtracting just a single mpg from the city rating that's not enough to drag down the combined rating. Still, this car needs all the efficiency it can get. If you're going to drive this thing in snow, we get it, but otherwise the lighter RWD version is the way to go.
