Is the 2025 Honda Ridgeline a Good Truck?
"The Ridgeline evokes strong emotions in truck fans, both for and against. You can smear it by noting its platform association with the Odyssey minivan, sure, but if you've driven it on demanding dirt tracks, as we have, you'll know that it's a surprisingly capable and durable off-roader. Those minivan roots pay refinement dividends on the pavement, by the way, which is of course where most trucks spend most of their time. The Ridgeline's starting price is quite high, however, and it's getting long in the tooth."—Ranked #7 out of 7 Midsize Trucks
Which 2025 Honda Ridgeline Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. There's only one standalone version of the 2025 Honda Ridgeline, and here it is, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
2025 Honda Ridgeline 3.5 All-Wheel Drive
- Base Price: $40,150
- MPG Combined: 21
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3.5-liter V6
- Aspiration: Naturally aspirated
- Transmission: 9-speed automatic
- Horsepower: 280
- Torque: 262 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.0 sec
- Weight: 4,420 lbs
- Length: 210.2 in
- Towing Capacity: 5,000 lbs
- Payload Capacity: 1,583 lbs
Due to its unibody platform with front-drive roots, the Ridgeline's towing capacity is relatively modest. It doesn't have the huge ground clearance of its body-on-frame rivals, either. Acceleration is strong, though. Note that you'll lose 1 mpg if you opt for the more off-road-oriented TrailSport trim.
